What Comes Next...

Let's face it--2020 has not been the year we all expected. As you probably already know, the Bobcat Players' Board of Directors made the impossibly hard decision to cancel our entire season. While we know that is certainly not the most tragic thing to happen this year, we are deeply saddened and greatly miss both the sense of community & the love of theatre that inspires us to move forward.

You may have a lot of questions about what that means for your favorite theater group. Honestly, we have the same questions, too. We hope to be able to bring what was supposed to be our 2020 season to you next year, but these are uncertain times. We appreciate your patience with us and your understanding through these unforeseen circumstances. So while we can't tell you much about what next year looks like, we can tell you that you are not forgotten. You are at the forefront of our minds-- which is why we are trying our hardest to bring theater to you in the safest way possible during a global pandemic.

We are very excited to announce that we will be bringing you the FIRST EVER outdoor Bobcat Players production in September--Players in the Park: Quarantine Comedy. Right in the heart of our hometown, our outreach committee is working to bring you a series of ten short plays that will tickle your funny bone in a time when laughs are hard to find. Rest assured, rehearsals will be done in accordance with the CDC guidelines and the performance on September 12th will take place in Quay Park. (Should the weather be uncooperative, we have reserved September 13th as our rain date.) Attendees should bring blankets or lawn chairs and plan to social distance; masks are highly encouraged. Should any state or federal guidelines change before then, we will certainly act accordingly and update you as soon as possible.

We truly hope we will see you there for this one-night-only production and we hope you will pass on the word to your friends & family, as our budget and resources are low at this time. Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we introduce the plays, the playwrights, and the players! We can't wait to perform for you again.
