Thank you.

Blithe Spirit has closed and I must admit, as an actress, that there is usually a period of post-show blues for me. Maybe that is still coming, but at the moment, I must say that all I am feeling is overwhelmed--overwhelmed by the love and support our show (and our entire season, for that matter) received, but also I am overwhelmed with how I feel about The Bobcat Players. There is so much to be thankful for. Cliche, I know, but our 2018 season has been a wonderful success, something I am incredibly proud of, and our 2019 season holds all the hope and promise that a new year always does. Though before we launch ahead in to the future, I would like to take the time to say thank you.

Thank you to Beaver Area High School and the Ed Schaughency Foundation for allowing us a place to rehearse and perform, to gather and improve. You are our home.

Thank you to the actors who bring life to the stories we have chosen to tell, who bring laughter and intensity to the stage every time.

Thank you to our directors, our producers, our technical directors, and our stage managers. Though you may not step onto the stage for the applause you deserve, know that we are always saluting your hard work, for without you, there would be no show.

Thank you to our ticket sellers, our house managers, our ushers, and our box office managers. You keep business running smoothly on the night of every show and we, along with our audiences, surely appreciate it.

Thank you to our dedicated board members, who have worked tirelessly over the past year to keep our small local theater happening. Although at the end of 2018 we lose some of them to retirement or family lives, we could not be more grateful for their dedication to this group and we will not forget their efforts.

And last, but certainly not least, thank you to our audiences for attending our shows and spreading the word about what we do. For trusting us to bring your laughter and tears, and for supporting the arts in our community. Your patronage sustains us.

Although the 2018 season is over, we still have more ahead. Stay tuned for our next blog entry, where you will get to hear from Patti Ross, our Artistic Director, about what's in store for 2019! And, of course, Happy Thanksgiving!
