His studio is a minefield of adoring women, aspiring writers, and rebellious servants who simply will not allow him any peace. This light-hearted romp by Noel Coward offers a parade of characters who are at once engaging and outrageous.

The setting is a retirement home named Valley View Gardens, where there is no valley, no view, and a poor excuse for a garden. Reluctant residents Harold and Burt are two old friends who pass their time by constantly bickering. Then enter Adrienne a fading movie star who lights up the home – and the guys – with stories of a glamorous Hollywood that no longer exists. Suddenly Harold and Burt are would-be suitors, rivals for the hand of this woman who is not all that she appears.
