SPRING 2012
OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS
By Joe DiPietro
Comedy-Drama
Reunion cast: 2 Older Male Roles Available
The overwhelming winner of this season’s audience choice vote, this revival is the tender tale of a memorable and traditional Italian American family. When favorite grandson Nick Cristano contemplates a career move from New Jersey to Seattle, both sets of grandparents conspire to keep him on the East coast by playing matchmakers. It’s amore; it’s amusing; it’s a slice of “tengo famiglia” more delectable than a rich pizza pie.
SUMMER 2012
LEND ME A TENOR
By Ken Ludwig
Farce
4 Males, 4 Females 20s to 60s
It’s 1934, a banner year for the Cleveland Grand Opera Company. Legendary opera star Tito Morelli, better known as the flamboyant Il Stupendo, has agreed to perform his greatest role, Otello, for the grand season opening. When Tito arrives late, problems arise, mishaps occur, and in the true manner of classic farce, mistaken identities and ill-timed incidents collide in a hilarious sequence of improbable events. And, remember, in opera, everything is larger than life.
FALL 2012
MURDERED TO DEATH
By Peter Gordon
Murder Mystery Spoof
5 Males 5 Females Flexible Adult Ages
The setting is an elegant English manor home, circa 1934. The hostess, along with her secretive niece and her inept butler, is entertaining a motley crew of weekend guests. In classic Agatha Christie fashion, foul play almost immediately takes center stage. Enter a fumbling, bumbling detective and a slightly shrewder local constable to interrogate the usual and unusual suspects and murder and mayhem are the order of the night.
SEASON SPECIAL 2012
THE FOURSOME
By Norm Foster
Comedy
4 Males Late 40s
Four old college friends meet again for their 25th reunion and extend the celebration with an early-morning round of golf. The events that unfold hole by hole are not exactly par for the course. Before long, this gentleman’s game reveals the lives, loves, and longings of four pals who have taken wildly divergent roads to reconnect on these greens. And as every golfer can attest, it all becomes much more than just a game.
